The Texas Collection of Career Consortia

Thank you for taking time to visit this site. In Texas we are proud of our unique development of career center and employer cooperation.  Texas is comprised of several geographical career consortia, where career centers and employers meet to discuss challenges and successes in their region. Many of the Career Consortia also host regional job fairs and drive-in education sessions. In some other states you might find state ACE (Association of Colleges and Employers) organizations which seek to facilitate these interactions, but that is not the case in Texas. Instead, within the State of Texas, you will find several career center-based consortia that are based on the unique needs of the region it serves in the state. In additon, many of the Texas Consortia are members of the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers, which includes a 15-state region.

This website was created to serve as a consortia tool to facilitate the easy  flow of information from and to regional consortia, colleges and employers for the State of Texas. If you are a student or an alum from a Texas school, this page should provide you with information about career fairs across the State. If you are an employer, this site will provide you with the information needed to plug into the different regionally located consortia as well as a venue where you can advertise different career opportunities  to colleges across this great state. University and college career centers can benefit from this site as a key resource to locate information on trends, career issues, job fair schedules and more. Simply, this website seeks to serve all facets of the career community.

The purpose of the Texas Collection is to work together to provide a single place for Texas career information. This collection hopes to  promote understanding and cooperation between the many university/college career centers and employers, while providing information about professional development and opportunities.

If you have suggestion or questions about this collection of consortia, please feel free to contact us.

Thanks
